In light of the response I received from you all from the post about living Gluten Free on a Budget. I wanted to share another gluten free recipe with you, that my family has tried and loved.
Gluten Free Sausage Gravy over Biscuits
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not start it off right. If you are living a gluten free lifestyle it doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice taste in the process.
1 roll Ground Pork Sausage ( I purchased this in 1 lb rolls)
4 tbsp White Rice Flour (Personally I love Bob’s Red Mill White Rice Flour)
1/4- 1/2 cup Milk (Or if lactose or dairy free Almond milk)
8 oz water
Brown up your ground sausage, drain all the grease from it before proceeding. Next mix the water and the flour together to form a pasty water. Add this into your ground sausage along with your milk. Add in the milk slowly to your judgement to determine the thickness of your gravy. Should you like your gravy a little bit thicker you can simply add in a little bit more flour.
Gluten Free Biscuits
This recipe is honestly not very hard as it’s the one off of the gluten free Bisquick box.
2 cups Gluten Free Bisquick
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup milk (Again if dairy or lactose free you can use almond or soy milk).
Mix all ingredients together and blend with a fork until you have coarse crumbs. You can either drop by the spoonful onto a baking sheet or roll them into balls. Bake at 425 for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
