Homemade Paint for Kids

I ran across this idea on and had to immediately share it with you all. I absolutely LOVE the idea of this. Here is the recipe to make homemade for your , and a picture included to show how they are using what looks like Ketchup/ Mustard type of bottles, pretty genius if you ask me.


Recipe for Homemade Kids Paint

  • 1 cup or 240 mL of salt
  • 1 cup or 240 mL of flour
  • 1 cup or 240 mL of water
  • food coloring (for the colors)

That’s it! Super easy and super cheap too! Simply mix all the ingredients together place the mixture (before food coloring) into the appropriate containers, add in the food coloring and ta da! You now have paint.
