Taking a trip across the Sydney Harbor Bridge is a popular activity for many people, both local and tourists. The bridge was first opened on March 19, 1932 this was after 6 full years of construction. It’s a historic landmark that should not be missed.
Gain a Cultural Experience at the Museum
The National Museum of Australia is free to enter and helps to give insight into the people, land and culture. The Rocks Discovery Museum is also free and tells the in depth story of The Rocks area all the way beginning with it’s pre-European Days. On the first Thursday of the month, it’s free to go into the Australian National Maritime Museum.
Take a Stroll Through the Royal Botanic Gardens
The Royal Botanic Gardens features a large selection of natural trails and sites like that of the Oriental Garden or the Rare and Threatened Plants Garden. It is located along the famous Sydney Harbor, and if you are interested in a free guided tour, they start at 10:30 daily until 1:30 Monday through Friday.
